A welcome respite

This morning the sky is blazing a brilliant breezy blue, bright sun warming the lush greens of well watered wet season foliage. It has been raining for weeks, with clouds lingering even between breaks, infrequent bursts of sun insufficient even to dry my laundry hanging on the line (which consequently, sometimes mildews before it ever dries, ugh). Yet for these past hours, not only has the sun reappeared, but in a nearly cloudless sky, bringing pleasant warmth kept from drifting towards hot by a fresh gentle breeze. The kind of morning in which hopes flourish and possibilities seem to multiply, and during which one can't help but smile.

I am inside, conducting a training, but a window lined wall affords an affable view of a green park, and the freshness of the day easily wafts in off the balcony, not even drawing attention out to the lawn so much as imbuing the room with a pleasantness that makes even reviewing homework seem a little more enjoyable. A most welcome respite.
