Between Mae Sot and the beach, we made a brief visit to Sukhothai, the former capital of the Kingdom of Sukhothai in northern Thailand. It is a peaceful park of temple ruins, a wonderfully relaxing place to cycle or wander, between pillars, stupas, and countless meditating buddhas.
