As I mentioned, in January I spent a week in a border village. Here are some photos from my stay:

Largest mortar and pestle I have ever seen - used every day in preparing the evening meal. A woman uses her foot to push down the far end of the pestle lever; the weight of the falling pestle brings it up again.
