Decisions

Am expected to give my answer regarding whether I will stay another two or three years, approximately, yesterday. Have been weighing and reweighing options. Have basically concluded that all my reasons for leaving are fundamentally selfish, but perhaps here I can make a worthwhile contribution? Not sure I believe in fate or Providence enough to believe I ended up here 'for a reason', but am moved by Billy Kwan's assertion that when you cannot as one move the major issues, you 'do what you can for the misery that's in front of you', and 'add your light to the sum of light'. Why seek out another kind of misery somewhere else, when there is work enough to be done here. And life enough to be lived here.
