aaaahhhhhhhhhh.
Just arrived home from an hour long Thai massage that cost less than five dollars. Which, truth be told, I feel rather bad about, but she wouldn't take more when I offered. MahLee was recommended to me by several friends who have been here for a while, and have explored the local massage offerings. There are _many_ options. Getting a massage is quite a frequent activity here. Aside from being a talented massuese, MahLee is preferred because she has a seperate little hut where she does her massage, as opposed to some of the larger places that have several mats in the same room, with several people being worked on at once (Thai massage takes place on a mat on the floor, no tables here). She does not have a sign, or advertise, so you must know someone to enjoy this treat. And she speaks very good english. After the massage, she offers you a glass of orange fanta (which I find rather funny). At any rate, I think I will soon become a regular customer...
$5.00 Oh my gosh!!!
ReplyDeleteI am sending this blog entry to all of my friends at home. They will be so envious!
I am also going to recommend your blog in my blog! You are a very descriptive writer and your experiences are so far removed from life in Olney, Broikeville, etc. etc. You are doing great work Jen! Take care, Barbara
Ahh, I am so jealous. I want a massage soooo bad. I'd settle for like $60, I can't even image $5. Thailand sounds better and better. Well except for the eating bugs part. :)
